A Wisconsin home
Charles was born in Germany and came to America with the Falkenrath family. He married Martha Bushardt. The 2010 history’s census summaries place them in Milwaukee in 1900 and 1905, and later in West Allis.
Work and family
Those summaries identify Charles as a machinist. They name daughters Lillian and Aleen, whose name appears with several spellings in the records. Martha’s family lived nearby in the earlier Milwaukee account. The histories preserve family and wedding photographs connecting this household with Ida’s extended family.
A note on the records
The owner’s tree gives 1871–1935. Older compilations give conflicting birth and death estimates and a marriage date that does not match an album photograph’s date; those details remain open for verification.
