The profile says she made her home in Racine, but gives no residence year independent of her son’s 1900 birth or her 1929 death. Those events alone do not establish a dated residence.

Ida’s sister

Hulda was a daughter of Carl Falkenrath and Emilie Pleis, born in Germany before the family’s move to Wisconsin. The 2010 history places her birth in July 1875 and identifies her with the familiar name Hilda.

The Brinkman family

She married Charles E. Brinkman. Their son Walter Charles Brinkman was born in Racine in 1900 and later became a physician. Hulda died in Racine on August 23, 1929. The family history places her burial at Mound Cemetery.

A note on the records

An older descendants’ chart estimates a later birth year; the 1875 year agrees with the owner’s tree and the 2010 history.
